3 Works

Jenova Chen is a video game designer that explores the ability of video games to be art. Chen's "Flow", and "Flowers" takes a different view than most video games. The experience is meant to be artistic and to bring the gamer through a beautiful and meaningful story. Chen is pushing the boundaries of what art is to include video games.

Jim Cambell's installations are exploratory art pieces that encorage interaction by viewers. Some of pieces take input from viewers and manipulate them. "Hallucination 1988 to 1990" is  one example of a piece that takes the image of the viewer and makes it look like the person is on fire. I love the way that Cambell allows the art to be interactive and a personal, unique experience for each viewer.

I love Robert Hodgin's modern looking website and designs. Hodgin creates interactive art pieces much like Cambell. One example is Hodgin's "Body Dysmorphia". It takes the viewers image and makes it fatter looking. I love the way that the piece allows the viewer to imagine what it would be like to have a different body type.
